Job 14: 1-10

For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.  Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.  Job 14: 7-9

Consider the above quotation.  The plant had been cut down.  Everything about it had dried up.  People had given up on it.  “It can’t live again”, they said.  But the word of God says it will sprout again and bud just like it was before?  All it needed was the “scent of water” and all will be well again.

No case can be as worse as this plant (before it came into contact with the “scent of water”).  No matter what you are going through, it can’t be this bad.  You have not been cut down.  You are not dead.  You are alive.  You  know today’s date.  You have plans for tomorrow!  There are things you planned for today.  You have hope!  Tomorrow shall be better.  As long as the LORD be GOD.  As long as you still have breath, you must not lose hope.  Keep on keeping up.  Keep hope alive.  No matter what you are going through today, you shall get to your destination.  The road may be rough; yet you shall reach your destination.  What you need is that “scent of water”.  It is the grace and favour of God that you need and both are available to you right now.  Take it by faith and move forward.  Whatever the Lord asks you to do, go ahead and do.  Take steps.  Move on.  Move up.  If a dead tree has hope, your present issue is not the end.  It is a bus stop.    You shall get to your destination in Jesus name.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, let your grace and favour be my portion today and beyond IJN.
