AGENT OF CHANGE
ROMANS 8:19
For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
You cannot change any man through confrontation, if it happens, it will not last. You can only change others by persuasion, and persuasion requires a lot of right actions and show of good values. Act1:1 The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus of all that Jesus began to do and teach. Jesus influence started with his doings. He did before he taught. His words were a reflection and affirmation of what he did. When your words and your deeds correlate, you are on the path of becoming an agent of change.
Precious child of God, you are the agent of change God is referring to in our text. Your preaching should be substantiated with many right actions. Preaching without good living is like faith without exemplary work is dead James 2:20. As people say, talk is cheap. You must walk your talk. Speaking so much and showing little or with no examples will not change a neighbor. Men form opinion and easily believe what they see you do rather than what you say. It is a given that actions speak louder than words. Matthew 5:16 says: Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
The message is be good in the secret as well as in the open. As the saying goes, seeing is believing and graphic is powerful!!! The good you’re doing in the secret profits you only while the ones in the open could influence many neighbors unto good works; your effectiveness as an agent of change to your neighbor lies in your Christian value and manifestation of good works not in words alone
The world is waiting for the manifestation of every good thing and watching with all expectations for the children of God who will live admirable Christian lives. Let your neighbors know your Christian value. Let them feel the impact of your Christianity. Let your life reflect the virtues of love, giving, joy and compassion. This is living like Christ. Display simple and easy living. Fill the world around you with love
