DEADLY ENCOUNTER WITH KIDNAPPERS

At my former place of employment, Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State, two members of staff were kidnapped. One was of them was a newly wedded pregnant woman who the kidnappers called her husband and he negotiated for N7m.

I was recalled from casual leave to take over the negotiation. When the kidnappers got in touch with me, I told them the amount they were demanding was not realistic and proposed N50OK. Instantly I was asked to come and pick the dead bodies of the kidnapped victims in 24hour and to show they meant business they cut me off from further conversations.

Eventually we agreed to pay N2m and I was to bring the money to their hideout in a bush in Ilesa. Getting to their hideout I was surrounded by about six men with AK-47 pointed at me. I was very afraid and began to think of what could happen to me, if the negotiations went wrong. Would they kidnap me and ask for the balance of the initial N7M agreed with them? Would they even kill me if they knew my identity as the person who negotiated the ransom down to N2M?

Various thought ran through my mind as the kidnappers walked me into the bush for about 30minutes. Then they demanded for the ransom and asked if the N2m was complete. I answered yes while not knowing if it was complete. All this while my mind was in turmoil. They collected the money from me and asked me to walk back. As I started going back to the main road, the fear of whether they would shoot at me and kill me gripped me. But God was in charge and nothing happened until I got to the main road.

The kidnapped victims were later released to the glory of the Agape God.
