DON’T JUST SPEAK GOOD; DO GOOD
Matthew 7:21-23
Doing is superior to speaking; as the adage says, action speaks louder than voice. We have a lot of voices in our world today with everyone claiming superiority. Let your light so shine amongst men, that they may see your good works and glorify your father in heaven. Beloved, we shall be judged primarily majorly by our actions over and above our speaking. Make sure your works are good towards men and God. As we all know, God is light and in him there is no darkness at all. Set out to be a help to someone today and practice being good daily until doing good becomes your habit.
Child of God, you need to hence forth make doing good your business. Assist someone to find way today, put out the bowel of compassion you inherited from salvation. Let people feed on your goodwill and help. Doing good is a great influence that can draw your neighbors to your God. Set out each day to be like Jesus who went about doing good. That is one way of attracting God’s presence. When Jesus went about doing good, it was recorded that “God was with him”. His Presence with you will give you direction and empower you to start doing good and continue in it throughout your life time.
As a Christian, someone is waiting today for you for encouragement, direction and counseling; don’t starve that person of your goodness.
