MADE TO PRAISE AND WORSHIP
Psalm 150: 1-6
Our existence is synonymous with offering praise and worship to God. It has been established that everyone living on the earth today exists for a purpose. There is no purposeless entity on the face of the earth. Throughout scriptures, it is evident that there are two dimensions of purpose for man. One is the general purpose of man and the other is the specific purpose of man. The specific purpose implies the unique assignment of everyone on earth.
In one dimension, it is a purpose of dominating and occupying the earth on behalf of God (Genesis 1:26-28). And in Psalm 150:6, we see another dimension of the general purpose; it is to worship and praise God. This means, as long as there is breath in your nostrils, you are under the mandate of intimacy with God, to praise and worship Him (Psalm 102:18). So, our existence is synonymous with offering praise and worship to God.
Lucifer was the archangel wired for worship. The scripture makes it clear that the workmanship of tabrets were wired into Lucifer (Ezekiel 28:12-17). He was so beautiful and musical that music naturally flowed out of him. It appeared like even the flaps of his wings were music. But he became corrupted with pride. He became a sinner in a place where there was no sin and temptation. So, he was beyond redemption.
God seemed to have said to Lucifer, “Is that how you want to behave? I am going to create man from ordinary dust to humble and humiliate you and your pride. And I will position him to worship me.” That is why Satan is against your worship/praise because it reminds him of what he lost. Beloved, you are not giving a full account of your existence, if you do not understand what it means to worship and praise God. Make the praise and worship of God a constant and habitual practice so you can fulfil God’s purpose for your life.
PRAYER: Lord, thank You for the privilege of life. As long as I breathe, I will give You praise. Help me Lord to live a life that will glorify Your Name, in Jesus’ Name.
