Psalm 89:20-37
January 2025 is your Month of Covenant Support. You are not a stranger to Covenant. Covenant is stronger than any agreement between two or more parties; stronger than even a contract. It is an irrevocable pact between God and man whereby God commits himself to protect, provide for and defend a man (or group of individuals) perpetually provided they stick to their own part of the covenant. By the reason of the covenant, we shall see the finger of God in all that pertains to us this New Year.
In this house, our covenant with God is fresh, working and eternal. It stands on seven legs. We call is it the Sevenfold Covenant of Agape. It covers the whole spectrum of our being and life. It is listed as follows.
- Covenant of Life
- Covenant of Peace
- Covenant of Mercy
- Covenant of Fruitfulness
- Covenant of Favour
- Covenant of Distinction
- Covenant of Wealth
We have enjoyed the Sevenfold Covenant over time and we can confidently ascertain that the Covenant works. We are not among those that die young because the Covenant of life works. Our homes are at peace. We are not defeated at the battles of life because our God has gone ahead of us to beat down our foes and handed over the victory to us. We enjoy his mercy continually while being fruitful in all dimensions. Our people are constantly favoured above others. We stand out wherever we are as people of distinction. And the poor are scarce among us due to the ever-working Covenant of wealth. This is your back-up not only for this month and this year but for your entire life. You shall enjoy God in all you do. He will not back out on you. Hear God: For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the Covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee. Isaiah 54:10.
Can you see? God is on your side. But you must keep your side of the bargain. Live upright, pursue holiness, and listen to the Holy Spirit. Follow him and obey him.
