POSITIVE WORDS

Proverbs 15: 1-7, 23-28

Someone said: “A careless word may kindle strife; A cruel word may wreck a life; A timely word may lessen stress; A loving word may heal and bless”. That is how much power the word we speak has. Of everything we say, kind words are always the right one. It is important that you make positive words an integral part of your life. The words we speak are a product of your heart. What you fill your heart and mind with will determine what comes out of your mouth: “O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh” (Matthew 12:34).

To cultivate the habit of using positive words to your benefit and those of others who come in contact with you, you must dwell on those positive things that God has done for you in the past. Truly, you cannot have a bright cloud all of the time. There will sometimes be a dark spot. But never allow those dark spots becloud those beautiful experiences you have had in the past. When you are thankful for the good deeds of the past, it helps you to stay positive. The sun shines behind the clouds.

Beyond filling your mind with positive thoughts, it is necessary that you surround yourself with positive people and things. In this era of technological explosion via the social media, it is easy to be caught in the negativity of happenings around. You however have the power to control how you are influenced by them. Speak positive words to yourself and others around you. Let the word of God dwell in you so much that it saturates your entire being. You can never go wrong with the word of God. Read it. Meditate on it and your mouth will speak positive words.
