MEGA GRACE IS YOUR PORTION X

Genesis 6:5-22

These are the generations of Noah; Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation. Noah walked with God…….Genesis 6:9

Noah is one of the most important people in the bible. In a world taken over by evil, violence, and corruption, he is presented as a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time. Not only that; he was the only follower of God left on earth. Righteousness is a word that we use in our everyday language. It actually means good, virtuous, upright, upstanding, decent, ethical, honest, honorable, blameless, irreproachable, noble –  what a list of terrific qualities. We should all desire the grace to be righteous like Noah.  Noah’s life can be seen as a model of patience, persistence and unwavering faithfulness to God in the face of a faithless society.

The people’s sin grieved God’s heart. Our sins still break God’s heart today as much as sin did in Noah’s days.  Noah however pleased God, although he was far from being perfect. We can follow Noah’s example and find grace in the eyes of the Lord in spite of the sin that surrounds us. The bible recorded that   the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. 1 Peter 3:20 . That means when God sees righteousness in any one, His integrity comes to bear and He can do anything by His mercy, grace, favour and kindness.

Choose to be righteous and see God come true in your life

Memory Verse: Proverb 14: 34 (righteousness exalt a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people)

PRAYER:  Just as God blessed and saved Noah, He will faithfully bless and protect those who are upright and walk with him today in Jesus name.
