STOP POVERTY IN YOUR LIFE II
2 Corinthians 8:9
In continuation of our study from yesterday, we are going to begin to discuss how to stop poverty. The first factor that the child of God need to realize if he’s going to successfully stop poverty in his life is to recognize that the price for poverty had been paid by Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour on the cross of Calvary.
Our text says ‘for ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ that though He was rich yet for your sakes He became poor that ye through His poverty might be rich’. Hallelujah! Jesus himself went to the cross of Calvary and paid the price for our sins so that every form of poverty that the devil has labelled on us may be removed from us and we might truly be rich. He says I wish above all things that you prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers (3 John 1:2). All forms of prosperity is within what Jesus has procured for you and I. The spirit, the soul, and the body are all entitled to the prosperity that has been procured for us by Jesus Christ.
In the book of Romans chapter 8 verse 31 to 33 says, ‘what shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own son but delivered him up for us, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?’ God has designed that we have access to everything within his kingdom, everything he has procured for us. The Bible says he has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness. So this is the first realization that propels a child of God into prosperity.
Realizing that God has already procured for us prosperity and that He has already overcome poverty for us, helps us to enter into the fullness of the prosperity that God has in mind for us.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I recognize that you have paid the price for poverty for me and you have given me victory over every form of poverty and have designed that I enter into the fullness of prosperity. Therefore, I walk in this consciousness and I will fully enter into what you have procured for me and enjoy victory in all areas of my life. Thank you for the price you have paid. In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray. Amen.
