STOP POVERTY IN YOUR LIFE V

Proverbs 14:34

As we continue in our study of how to stop poverty in our lives, we will look at another key factor. This factor is avoiding contamination in our blessings. This is a very important factor in enjoying the blessing that God have provided for us.

To live in abundance according to God’s plan for us as children of God, it is important to obey his injunction. This injunction includes to not contaminate the wealth that God himself have designed for us from the foundation of the world. In Proverbs chapter 14, verse 34. The Bible says. ‘Righteousness exalted the nation, but sin is a reproach to any people’. To enjoy the blessings that God has in mind for you as His child, you must make sure that you do not contaminate that blessing. There are many things that can contaminate the blessings of God upon our lives which we should avoid. These include the following:

1. Sin: According to our text, sin brings reproach to any people. Knowing that our God cannot behold iniquity and abhors where sin is present, we must always live right to avoid poisoning our blessing.
2. Not paying tithe:  Malachi 3:8-10. The bible describes not paying tithe as robbery against God. The world has been selling a lie that tithing is of the Old Testament and many Christians are falling for it. Please beloved, do not be deceived, whatsoever a man sows, that shall he reap. If you do not prioritize God in your finances and material possession, you should not expect Him to be responsible for blessing you. In Matthew 23:23, Jesus speaking confirmed that we should not leave Tithing undone. Therefore, every time a person robs God of his tithes and of his offering, he is actually contaminating the blessing that God has given to him and cuts short the flow of the wealth and the prosperity that heaven has ordained for him from the foundation of the world.

PRAYER: LORD, I commit to living righteously and to paying my tithes and offerings steadily so that I will continue to enjoy the wealth that you have provided for me ceaselessly.
