YOU SHALL PREVAIL
ISAIAH 42:10-17
Now there was long war between the house of Saul and the house of David: but David waxed stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul waxed weaker and weaker. 2 Samuel 3: 1
The above scripture tells us of a prolonged war between the House of David and that of Saul. It is the picture of our lives today as believers. You belong to the House of David. Remember Jesus was referred to as the son of David. The House of Saul is that of the enemy and it is still at war with the House of David till today. The battle is more spiritual than physical but we are assured of our victory in all of these battles.
There are battles to be fought on a daily basis. The devil is all out to fight you. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12. It is a daily occurrence. The devil is not happy that you are redeemed and that you remain so. He would rather have you as a candidate of hell. So he would continually fight your faith as well as attack your person and yours. We also have human opposition to contend with. Some hate you because you offended them and some do so for no justifiable reason. There are folks who are not happy because you are happy. There are also those who want exactly what you have or want. They will do all they can to have an edge over you. If you get hurt in the process, it doesn’t bother them!
But relax. The struggles are there not to sink you but that you may emerge as a champion. It has been promised by the Lord that in the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world John 16:33. This is the word of the Lord. No matter the intensity of the battle or the strength of the enemy, you shall overcome. Actually, you are just there to claim the victory. The Lord has conquered for you. Just declare, I SHALL PREVAIL and you shall prevail. To prevail is to overcome; to win; to come out tops; to be victorious and to excel. All these and many more shall be your portion this day and beyond in the powerful name of Jesus. Just have faith. Trust in the Lord with your entire mind. Pray without ceasing and live in righteousness. Your victory is assured in Jesus name. You shall prevail.
