STANDING FIRM IN OUR FAITH
1 Corinthians 15:58
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
As believers, we’re called to stand firm in our faith, trusting God’s promises and plans for our lives. Standing firm means being steadfast and committed, even in the face of adversity or uncertainty. It means trusting that God is sovereign and able to keep His promises, even when circumstances seem impossible.
Let’s take a moment to examine our lives. Are we standing firm in our faith, trusting God’s promises and plans for our lives? Are we being steadfast and committed, or are we wavering and uncertain?
Some examples of standing firm in our faith include the apostle Paul’s perseverance in the face of persecution, and the early Christian church’s commitment to spreading the gospel despite intense opposition.
MEDITATION: If the bible were to be written again, would your works of faith reflect in it?
PRAYER: “Lord, help me to stand firm in my faith, trusting Your promises and plans for my life. Give me the strength and courage to be steadfast and committed, even in the face of adversity. Help me to apply the examples of faith in 1 Corinthians 15 to my own life, and to trust You for guidance and provision. Amen.”
