DEPRAVITY OF SEXUAL SIN
Proverbs 5:1-12
God created sex to be expressed within the confines of the marriage institution, to be enjoyed by the husband and the wife for pleasure and reproduction, toward the fulfillment of the divine mandate expressed in Genesis 1:28. But the devil, working at depraving everything God created, introduced sexual immorality.
Sexual immorality is any form of sexual pleasure forbidden by God, which includes premarital sex, extramarital sex, bestiality, rape, masturbation, incest, homosexuality etc. Man is specifically instructed to stay clear of sexual sin. The pleasure therein notwithstanding, the end is death – “For the lips of a strange woman drop honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil; But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword. Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell” (Proverbs 5:3 -5). Do not be deceived by the temporary pleasure sexual sins offer. The end is destruction.
Your body is not for sexual immorality, it is the temple of the Holy Spirit. It belongs to Jesus. God places high value on you. This was why your redemption cost Him hugely. Don’t make a mess of it. Sexual immorality does not anticipate any good. It will only defile you and make you unacceptable to God (Mathew15:19-20). Beyond defiling the body, it opens you up to demonic possession and oppression. Every sexual activity joins you as one with your sexual partner. The more the partners; the more the joining that takes place. And it does not just end there; you become one with that person, even after the physical joining has ended. We therefore plead with you, stay clear of sexual sin.
Memory Verse: “For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God” (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5).
PRAYER: Dear Father, deliver me from sexual sins.
