THE LAW OF INVESTMENT
Mathew25:14-30.
The Parable of Talents teaches us that the Almighty is an investor. Nothing is to be wasted. Nothing is given you to remain as it is given you. There must be additions and multiplications. There can be no increase without investment. To invest is to put money, effort, time etc. into something to make a profit or get an advantage. An investment is an asset or often acquired to generate income or given appreciation. If you want increase, you invest. Without investment, there can be no increase. Check that parable again, those that traded with their talents are ones that had increase. They invested, therefore they made gain. The one that did not invest made no gain and eventually lost the little he had.
Investment requires planning and strategic decisions to put little aside per time to be able to reap a long term reward. Investment usually takes time to bear fruit. Financial investment do yield returns overtime, also deliberate investment into skills, self-development and relationships can lead to long term fulfilment. You can invest time, effort and resources to self-development, creating and nurturing connections thus laying a solid foundation for future prosperity.
Investment dictates gradual growth. Someone with an investment mind-set will always prioritize long term gains over short term enjoyment. A fulfilling life can’t be based on gains of the present. There has to be a carefully laid out plan for rewards in the future . The venture you are investing into must be able to grow independent of you. That is when you can truly say your investment is yielding. For example, if you invested time and effort into a connection, the connection should be able to at some point be able to serve you, either you are actively working on it or not. If you have to actively work to achieve everything you achieve, then there is a limit to what you can achieve.
Whether in the corporate world or personal living, it is the same principle. If you desire increase, you must invest. What you invest in is where you expect increase. When you don’t invest, you get nothing. The things you must invest include time, talent prayers and time. It goes beyond money. And what you invest in goes beyond business ventures. You can invest into your marriage, education, kingdom projects, relationship, education and much more. When the returns begin to come, then your increase is on the way. The Returns on investment (ROI) can be once or can come continually. For instance, if you invest in a vegetable farm, your returns come for a season and if you don’t re-invest, it ceases. But if you put money in a cocoa farm or in shares, the returns keep on coming for years.
Stop wasting time. Stop eating all your savings. Stop spending money. Invest. I repeat! Invest! When you spend Time, it goes for ever. But if you invest it, it brings you returns in the future. Invest into your future and you will never regret it.
