COMMITTING OUR PLANS TO GOD

Proverbs 16:3

It is a good thing to plan on a regular basis on every area of our lives. Not planning as they say is planning to fail. However, Proverbs 16:3 says, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” As believers, we’re called to commit our plans and endeavors to God, trusting Him to guide and establish our steps.

This verse reminds us that our plans and goals are not just our own, but are part of God’s larger plan and purpose for our lives. When we commit our plans to God, we’re acknowledging His sovereignty and trusting His goodness and wisdom to guide us.

Let’s take a moment to examine our lives. Are we committing our plans and endeavors to God, trusting Him to guide and establish our steps? Are we recognizing God’s sovereignty and trusting His goodness and wisdom in all that we do?

Some examples of committing our plans to God include the story of Abraham, who trusted God’s promise to make him the father of many nations, and the apostle Paul, who committed his missionary journeys to God’s guidance and provision. We can apply these examples to our own lives by trusting God for guidance and provision, just as these individuals did.

For instance, we can commit our plans to God by seeking His guidance and wisdom in our decisions and circumstances. We can also trust God’s sovereignty and goodness, knowing that He’s working all things for our good, even when we don’t understand His ways.

In times of uncertainty and doubt, we can remind ourselves of God’s faithfulness and goodness, trusting that He’ll continue to work all things for our good. We can also encourage one another, building each other up in our faith and love for God.

MEDITATION: My life is in the Lord’s hand therefore, It shall be well with me and mine.

PRAYER: “Oh Lord, help me to commit my plans and endeavors to You, trusting You to guide and establish my steps. Give me the faith to trust Your goodness and sovereignty, and help me to recognize Your guidance and provision in all that I do.
