WEALTH IS A FUNCTION OF FAVOR
I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all
(Ecclesiastes 9:11)
Favor can release into your life in a day what the years of labor cannot bring you. In Exodus 13, God gave the Israelites favor, and they got overnight what the labor of four hundred years could not fetch them. They left with all the gold and silver of Egypt. It is good to labor. In our ministry, we encourage diligence and we lead by example. But without the dimension of favor, labor will onlt be a fruitless exercise. You shall never labor in vain in Jesus name.
Beloved, favor is important to life. In fact, it is life itself. Nothing can compare to it. Without favor is frustration and endless suffering. One would just continue to be by-passed in the race of life. A man of favor is not only an achiever but a receiver. If one can use that phrase, God is partial to a favored man. Take a look at David. Even when he missed it, he was not removed like his predecessor! When he sinned again, God asked him to choose his own punishment. Favor is good indeed.
Favor is something a man should not lack or lose. If favor is in a life, it makes it shine. It will be as if he knows how to do it. Little effort, giant results. Help in all seasons. Great results. But if favor is lacking, failure steps in. no matter how skillful the person is, he has little result to show for great inputs. He now looks as if he does not know how to do it. As if the whole world is against you. May you never lose favor.
PRAYER: Remember me, O Lord, with the favour that thou bearest unto they people; O visit me with thy salvation; (Psalm 104:4)
