MEGA GRACE FOR LOVE II
John 3:12-21
Love is everything. It is the foundation of truthful living. We are looking at the power of God’s kind of love. The impact of same on human race has not left the world the same ever since Jesus came to lay down his life for the salvation of mankind.
Love covers a multitude of sins. It gives others more chances/opportunities to make right any wrong doing. It keeps forgiveness at its right hand. There was a story of a man that got promoted amidst his colleagues at a time when they were all qualified for the same promotion. Favour marked him out. Some of them decided to rejoice with him while some others went all the way to pull him down and mocked his successes. Some lied against him, said derogatory statement about him, instigate people and situations against his good intentions. Over time, he kept seeking their welfare [loving them] despite their wrong doings. There came a day when one of the chief haters fell into a big trouble and wasn’t expecting him to come to his aid. Help wasn’t coming from any other quarters known. He decided to still show care to his hater to bail him out of the situation. This brought an entire change of heart of the hater and today it’s a beautiful story of greater successes that is being reported. Love will always win!
God did same for the human race. No one was worthy to open the book. No one was worthy to lay down his life for us. He sent Jesus [himself]. He loved us while we were yet sinners. We are serving Him today because He gave His life. The question here is, what are you giving/doing to show God’s love to the world around you. As long as you have the privilege of meeting others daily, you’ve got the greatest honor of showing someone God’s love. Be good unto others as it lies within your power. You never can tell what that will give birth to in the future for you or the benefactors of today.
God wasn’t waiting for us to reciprocate his love immediately. So love others and make it your own contribution to making the world a godly and lovely place. Your life is a gift from God to you but how you live it should be your own gift to Him. No one has seen God before, yet God is love and He lives in you. Radiate His love by showing someone God’s love through your kind gestures. Send someone a text message of hope, make a phone call to cheer someone up or care to show someone he/she is not alone. God loves a cheerful giver. The world is starved of God’s kind of love [Agape]. You’ve got it in abundance. Receive grace to share this. Don’t forget, it is a seed. Sow it and you’ll reap it someday soon.
