MEGA GRACE FOR LOVE
John.3:9-21
Love is a four letter word that is key to life. How did God reach humanity? Through love displayed in His giving attitude. Some would complain of not being loved by others. The question is not the reaction of people to you but what are you offering them. Are you giving them love? (i.e. What they need)? You are not to compromise your standard of living as some will say, if you can’t beat them, join them. No! Rather leave them. The world cannot love righteousness but you can’t drop the standard of righteousness laid by God for you either. They can resist all you bring to them but can’t resist genuine love.
The devil knew the best way to make God hate the man he created is to put what God hates in who God loves. i.e. put sin (what God hates) in man (whom God loves). He succeeded in the Garden of Eden by making man to sin against God but Jesus came to restore man by paying for our redemption by His blood.
God didn’t love man for selfish reasons. The aim was that man would not perish but have everlasting life. Jeremiah29:11 further confirms that His thoughts are good and that his plan is to give us a future and a hope. Let your love for others be borne out of selfless desires. God’s love is unconditional. Guard your heart with His word as you show your family and others the pure love of God today.
Make it habitual so that, others can believe and understand that your intents for loving them is genuine. Doing this however requires enormous grace. There are people who specialize in hurting you over and over. Their ministry is to harass and annoy you as much and as often as they can. Yet your instruction is to forgive them even if they offend you seventy times seven times daily. This requires great grace. Receive grace to love others as yourself and even your enemies in Jesus’ name.
