NOT ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL

Romans 1:16

The preaching of the good-news is something to be proud of and not otherwise as some believers shy away from same leaving same for only a few to handle. Romans 1:16 says, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.” As believers, we’re called to be bold and unashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The apostle Paul was passionate about sharing the gospel, and he wasn’t ashamed to proclaim it to anyone. He knew that the gospel was the power of God to save humanity from sin and its consequences. Let’s take a moment to examine our lives. Are we bold and unashamed of the gospel, or are we hesitant to share it with others? Are we recognizing that the gospel is the power of God to transform lives and bring salvation?

Some examples of being bold and unashamed of the gospel include the story of Peter, who preached to the crowds on the day of Pentecost, and the apostle Paul, who traveled the world sharing the gospel despite facing persecution and hardship. We can apply these examples to our own lives by trusting God for guidance and provision, just as these individuals did.

For instance, we can be bold and unashamed of the gospel by sharing our faith with our friends and family, and by being a light in our communities. We can also pray for opportunities to share the gospel, and trust God to give us the courage and wisdom to do so.

In times of uncertainty and doubt, we can remind ourselves of God’s faithfulness and goodness, trusting that He’ll continue to work all things for our good. We can also encourage one another, building each other up in our faith and love for God.

MEDITATION: Woe is me if I preach not the gospel”

PRAYER: “Oh Lord, help me to be bold and unashamed of the gospel, and to share it with those around me. Give me the courage and wisdom to proclaim Your truth, and help me to trust Your goodness and sovereignty in all things. Help me to remember that the gospel is the power of God to transform lives and bring salvation, and that I’m called to be a part of it. Amen.”
