OPERATION GOSPEL INVASION II
John 4:35
Jesus said, “Lift up your eyes and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.” In this statement, He confronts a major barrier to soul-winning: spiritual blindness to the readiness of the harvest. Many times, we assume people are not ready, not interested, or too hardened for the gospel. But Jesus calls us to look again to see with spiritual eyes. The harvest is not waiting for a more convenient season; the harvest is ripe right now. People are searching for meaning, longing for peace, and hungry for truth. Many are one conversation away from salvation, one invitation away from transformation, one encounter away from surrendering to Christ. Yet if we delay, if we hesitate, if we wait for “a better time,” the opportunity may pass.
The urgency of the harvest requires us to be spiritually sensitive and physically available. Every day presents divine appointments at work, in the marketplace, online, in our neighborhoods. OGI is not merely a church-wide effort; it is a daily lifestyle of seeing people the way Jesus sees them. To walk in this urgency, we must cultivate three postures:
1. Open Eyes: A willingness to see beyond the surface to discern spiritual need even when it is not immediately obvious.
2. Open Hearts: A readiness to act in love, compassion, and obedience without procrastination.
3. Open Mouths: Boldness to speak, share, invite, pray, and sow the seeds of the gospel.
The urgency of the harvest reminds us that soul-winning is time-sensitive. Eternity is real, and every soul matters deeply to God. As we press into OGI, may our hearts beat in rhythm with the Father—who is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
As an individual, make OGI your priority this new year. The church has its target. It must begin with you. Imagine if every member wins at least a soul this year and the souls are planted and firmly rooted. The church population automatically doubles! Now if each of us wins a soul every month! The result is obvious. More people in the church, less in the world. Righteousness on the increase and wickedness on the decline! Be a part. Hear what Paul said to Timothy: I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. Just do it. Divine back up is guaranteed. The result is great harvest.
PRAYER: Lord, open our eyes to see the ripeness of the harvest around us. Give us sensitivity to divine opportunities and boldness to respond without delay. Help us to partner with You daily in drawing many into Your kingdom during this season of Gospel Invasion. Amen.
