PUTTING GOD’S GRACE TO WORK II
Jude 1:24-25
Another main function of the Grace of God in the life of every child of God, is to keep Him or Her from falling. According to the book of Jude chapter 1 verses 24 to 25, we find the grace of God at work to prevent His children from falling. As we journey through life, the enemy is always unhappy that we are steady, progressive, and moving into the fullness of God’s plan for our lives. Therefore, our adversary the devil, like the Bible says, walks around seeking who he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). This means that the devil’s mission is seeking our downfall day after day. But what keeps a believer from falling is the Grace of God.
The Grace of God continually shows us where the enemy has dug pitfalls for us and helps us not to fall into them (Psalms 119:105). Today, as you begin another day, remember that God’s grace is available to keep you from falling. God will not allow any temptation that is beyond what we are capable of bearing to come to us. But with any temptation that he allows to come our way, he will also make a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). Our duty is to watch out for the guiding light of God’s grace so that we do not stumble at the traps of the enemy. As you proceed every day of your life, be conscious that there is a provision to keep you from falling into any trap that the enemy has set.
These traps includes sin, deceit, error, or costly mistakes. As you consistently look up to God for his grace and trust the Holy Spirit for guidance and promptly act on the instruction that God gives you, you shall be preserved from falling today and beyond. God will continue to keep you from falling in the name of Jesus. Amen.
