THE GOD WHO FIGHTS FOR YOU
Exodus 15:1-21
When we face overwhelming conflict, whether it’s a difficult situation at work, a family crisis, or an internal struggle, it’s easy to feel alone. However, this scripture reminds us that the God we serve is not passive; He is the God of War. Walking with God does not exempt us from trials; rather, it equips us for them. The good news is that we do not fight alone. Our God is not a distant observer; He is an active defender. He is the God who fights for you. To say that God fights for you means that He takes your battles personally. You are His child, His possession, His covenant partner. Every attack against your life, your peace, or your purpose draws His divine response. Scripture declares, “He who touches you touches the apple of His eye” (Zechariah 2:8). God does not overlook the struggles of His people; He intervenes with strength and wisdom far beyond human capacity.
Sometimes His fighting looks like deliverance, sudden, dramatic rescue. Some other times, it is like endurance, the quiet strength to stand when everything is falling apart. Whether He calms the storm or strengthens you to walk through it, He is still fighting for you. The victory may not always be immediate, but it is certain. Our God never loses a battle, and he won’t start with you!
When life’s battles intensify, remember this: God is still on your side. He fights for your peace when anxiety threatens to consume you. He fights for your purpose when the enemy tries to derail you. He fights for your family, your health, your destiny, your nation. And even when you cannot trace His hand, you can trust Him, because He has never failed.
So, take courage. Lift your eyes from the storm and fix them on your defender. Be still and know that He is God. The victory is not yours to earn but His to give. And when all is said and done, you will stand, not as a victim, but as a victor because the God who fights for you never loses a battle.
PRAYER: O lord, this battle is not mine, but yours. I hand it over to you.
