THE SUPREMACY OF LOVE
1 Corinthians 13:8-13
Today’s scripture, 1 Corinthians 13:8-13 reminds us that love is the greatest virtue, and it will last forever. As believers, we must prioritize love above all else, recognizing its enduring value. Love is the greatest gift of all, and it is the foundation of our faith (Matthew 22:37-40). Without love, our other gifts and talents are meaningless (1 Corinthians 13:1-3). But with love, we can make a profound impact on our world.
As we focus on loving others, we’ll become more like Jesus, and our love will be a reflection of His love for us. We’ll become beacons of hope in a dark world, and we’ll make a difference in the lives of those around us. Let’s take a test of love. Examine your life. Is loving others a priority with you? Are you seeking to love more deeply and truly, just as Jesus loves us?
The world we live in contains a lot of selfish people. Knowing Christ must reflect in all that we do. We don’t do good to others because they merit it at all times but because of obedience to God’s word. We never merited the death of Christ on the cross. He died for us while we were yet sinners. Don’t be part of the statistics of people that will only do things for others when there are benefits in view. Don’t be a carnal Christian who only responds to gains by merit. Take it to the next level of doing things based on insight and not sight. Can someone come to Christ today through your invasion of love for them? Operation Gospel Invasion is a must for all believers and as a possibilitarian you must participate and be part of people that will make heaven rejoice by being a soul winner.
PRAYER: “God, help me to focus on love, the greatest gift of all. May I seek to love more deeply and truly, just as You love me. Give me opportunities to show Your love to others, and help me to prioritize love in my daily life. Amen.”
