WALKING IN THE SPIRIT
Galatians 5:22-23
Galatians 5:22-23 says, “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” As believers, we’re called to walk in the Spirit, bearing fruit that reflects God’s character and nature.
Walking in the Spirit means being led by God’s Spirit, trusting His guidance and direction. It means being conformed to the image of Jesus, reflecting His love, joy, peace, and other qualities.
Let’s take a moment to examine our lives. Are we walking in the Spirit, bearing fruit that reflects God’s character and nature? Are we being led by God’s Spirit, or are we following our own desires and impulses?
This is the difference between a believer that is growing towards maturity and the carnal one. The carnal man cannot decode the things of the spirit. There are heights in God and this life that you can only reach with a depth of manifestation of the fruit of the spirit. You cannot give what you don’t have. The bird can only fly with what it has eaten and digested. Let the work of grace be perfected in your life and you will be a better personality fulfilling your divine destiny as ordained by God for it. Growing the fruit of the spirit is a must if you will last as a Christian.
Some practical ways to apply these verses include spending time in prayer and worship, seeking guidance and direction from God’s Word, and being intentional about cultivating the fruit of the Spirit in our lives.
PRAYER: “Oh Lord, help me to walk in the Spirit, bearing fruit that reflects Your character and nature. Give me the strength and guidance to be led by Your Spirit, and help me to be conformed to the image of Jesus. Amen.”
