YOU SHALL EAT THE GOOD OF THE LAND
Isaiah 1:1-20
Over the ages; in fact since the creation of man, the desire of God is that Man enjoys goodness in the land of the living. Before man was created, God made available everything that man would ever need. He created the animal world, the plant world and the sea with all that dwell inside it for the benefit of man. The earth was made specifically for human habitation. It is said that the earth’s location in the solar system is the exact that can sustain life for both plant and animal. Every other planet would not sustain life.
On planet earth, God even planted a garden for man and made available all that man would need. There were mineral resources in the garden. And God saw everything he made for man and concluded that it was good. In essence, since those things were made for man, it means God meant man to eat the good of the land. This was his purpose . . . that man should eat the good of the land!
At the fall, the land was cursed for man’s sake and it began to bring forth other things that were not good because of man’s disobedience. But our scripture this morning tells us that if we choose the path of obedience, the good of the land is available for us. This is the secret. There is good in the land. It has profit for you. It is in abundance. And it is for you this year and beyond. Moreover the profit of the earth is for all; the king himself is served by the Field, (Ecclesiastes 5:9)
Even though the good of the land is for all, only the obedient shall access it. Beloved, start on the path of willful obedience to the word of God; live and operate by the principles of the kingdom; allow the Holy Spirit the right of way in your life, and you will eat the good of the land. Endeavour to be an obedient child of God. He wants to bless you. He does not bless the rebellious. The land is before you, walk in obedience to His law and follow His leading, and the good of the land shall be yours.
