GOD’S FAITHFULNESS II
2 Timothy 2:13
It is a new day to assure yourself of God’s faithfulness. 2 Timothy 2:13 says, “If we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself.” As believers, we’re called to trust God’s faithfulness, even when we’re not faithful.
God’s faithfulness is not dependent on our faithfulness. He is faithful because He is God, not because of anything we do. This means that we can trust God’s promises and plans, even when we’re struggling with doubt, fear, or sin. Let’s take a moment to examine our lives. Are we trusting God’s faithfulness, even when we’re not faithful? Are we recognizing that God’s love and commitment to us are not based on our performance, but on His own character?
Some examples of God’s faithfulness include the story of David, who was forgiven and restored after his sin with Bathsheba, and the apostle Paul, who was given a “thorn in the flesh” but received God’s grace and strength. We can apply these examples to our own lives by trusting God for guidance and provision, just as these individuals did.
For instance, we can trust God’s faithfulness in times of struggle and hardship, knowing that He is with us and will help us. We can also remind ourselves of God’s past faithfulness, trusting that He will continue to work all things for our good.
MEDITATION: God is always faithful. I will be faithful all my life time.
PRAYER: “Oh Lord, help me to trust Your faithfulness, even when I’m not faithful. Give me the courage to come to You with my doubts and fears, knowing that You’ll forgive and restore me. Help me to recognize Your love and commitment to me, and to trust Your promises and plans for my life. Amen.”
