THE SECRETS OF BLESSINGS ABOUNDING
Genesis 22:1-end
We are still considering the theme of Blessings. In the scriptures, each promise of God is predicated on obedience. More often than not, the Lord would give conditions precedent to enjoying a particular blessing. The promise for this year is not different. There are conditions that must be met.
In our text, we were told that Abram was instructed to sacrifice Isaac unto the Lord. The obedience of Abraham led to the unprecedented blessing that he received. The Lord swore to him that he would bless him. He received an irrevocable blessing because he obeyed instruction. Taking a cue from Abraham, it will do you good to obey the following instructions from the Almighty God.
Firstly, learn to trust God with the little in your hand to escape lack. If Abraham had withheld Isaac from the Lord, he would have missed his blessing. Do not let anything be too dear to release unto the Lord. That is the secret of your blessing. Secondly, you must learn to take risks. It was risky for Abraham to sacrifice his only son, yet he did. Do not be afraid of risking what you have. It is a mindset of poverty to hold on to what you know is not enough rather than sowing or investing it for greater returns.
Another thing to do is to top up your praise. Abraham saw sacrifice as an act of worship. Give God praise in any situation. Ensure it is sincerely given and it will surprise you what the Lord will do for you. As a believer, make it a duty to remember the poor among and around you. What God is releasing to you is not for you and your family alone. Let others be blessed through you.
Finally, be kingdom driven. In all that you do, let the kingdom be your priority. Jesus must be the Focus in all your dealings. Be part of those who make things happen in the kingdom. Let the payment of tithes, first fruits and other kingdom requirements be your priority. Use every opportunity that comes your way to witness to somebody about Jesus Christ. Beloved, if thou shall diligently pursue the foregoing then shall you make your days prosperous and have a good life.
