WHEN GOD HELPS YOU VII
2 Corinthians 12:1-10
There are times we have to go through unpleasant and unpalatable situations. At such times, we feel the whole world is against us. It may even look like God is no longer on our side. We feel like giving up; like we should throw in the trowel; some may even contemplate suicide! In such a time, you need God to help you to keep you going. Without God’s help, one may go down into depression or failure.
We make bold to declare again and again; God is your helper. No matter the situation, you shall come out tops. God shall help you. How will he do that? He may not solve the problem the way you expect. But he will surely give you strength and grace to go through it. You shall not be put down. The situation shall not overwhelm you. You shall be strong even in the midst of the trouble. And at the end, you shall overcome and still be strong.
Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Verse 7-9
Paul had an affliction in the body. He prayed and fasted for healing. But God didn’t remove the affliction. Rather he released grace to enable Paul go through the situation so much that in spite of the infirmity, he continued his ministry and succeeded exceedingly. Towards the end of his life, he commented that: For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing, 2 Timothy 4:6-8. No matter what you are going through now, receive enormous grace for sustenance and triumph in Jesus name.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, please give me grace that is sufficient for me in any given situation.
