I AM BLESSED IRREVERSIBLY
Numbers 23:1-20
The import of the theme for May is that the blessings of the Lord upon your life are irrevocable, unchangeable, unalterable, absolute, and permanent, meaning they cannot be taken away from you. Balaam’s story (Numbers 22-24) highlights this succinctly. Whatever/whoever God blesses, no one can curse. This reveals that the gifts of the Lord are without repentance. God can never go back on his promises pronounced upon you. He is not like a man who tells lies.
In our lives, nearly everything is reversible: contracts can be broken, promises can be withdrawn, and fortunes can be reversed. This constant state of uncertainty creates anxiety, making us fear what could go wrong, just when things are going well. But the blessing of the Lord upon you is irreversible.
More than you can fathom, the word “irreversibly” speaks to a seal, a covenant that cannot be recalled, revoked, or rescinded by any human power, circumstance, or error. Your standing in grace is not dependent on your perfect performance; it is dependent on G-O-D: Grace on Duty. The reality of this is that:
- Your past cannot cancel your future: Every past mistake, which you have addressed, cannot negate the favour already poured out on your life.
- No enemy can revoke it: The schemes, opposition, or negativity directed against you cannot nullify the divine covering over your assignment and your person.
- Your circumstances cannot define it: When facing a difficult situation, the blessing is not absent; it is available to express itself in your solution, your wisdom, or your provision.
You are blessed not because you feel blessed, but because the source of the blessing is constant and unchanging. This is the foundation of unwavering peace and confidence. Live in this reality, unwavering, do not allow the anxieties of the uncertain world to dim the light of your guaranteed favour.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I thank you that I am irreversibly blessed. Guard my heart from doubt. Let Your blessings continue to overflow in my life in Jesus’ name.
